• When is it appropriate to submit my application?

    We accept application throughout the year.

  • After submission of the application, what is the next step?

    You will be notified in writing when you are scheduled for an interview. The outcome of the interview will also be communicated after roughly 2 weeks after the interview.

  • What if I do not meet your minimum requirement, do you offer bridging courses?

    Unfortunately, we are not a center for bridging.

  • Do you offer certificate courses?

    No, our courses start at the diploma level.

  • How long does it take to upgrade from the certificate in nursing to the diploma level?

    It will take 2 years to upgrade.

  • Do you accept credit transfers?

    Yes, we accept credit transfers from recognized nursing institutions.

  • Do you offer accommodation facilities, uniform and meals to students?

    We provide accommodation at a fee, meals are offered at a pay as you eat (PAYE) basis.

  • Do you provide books for nursing training?

    No, but we have a fully equipped medical library with print and online resources

  • Are visitors allowed to see the students?

    Yes, but in accordance with the rules and regulations of the institution.

  • Do you allow time off during training?

    The students are allowed 31 days of leave every year of training. Days and nights off are as outlined in the students’ handbook.

  • Is your school accredited and by which organization?

    Yes,we are accredited by the Nursing Council of Kenya (NCK) and the Technical and Vocational Education Training Authority (TVETA).

  • How many students do you admit per class?

    Our maximum class size for the diploma class is 40 students per class. Post basic courses may admit up to 30 students.

  • Do you have an age limit for KRN training?

    No, there is no set age limit.

  • Can I get employment abroad after training?

    Yes, our nursing programs are recognized internationally.

  • Am I guaranteed of a job at the Nairobi Hospital after training?

    Yes, after successful recruitment process.

  • Can I get a scholarship for training?

    We are working with the LEAP program for educational loans.
